Studiocare’s Service Department caters for the professional audio market’s servicing needs. We service and repair most high end audio equipment from broadcast CD players, broadcast and studio mixing desks, live sound and DJ equipment, portable recorders, microphones, valve guitar amps and much more.
With a large stock of often difficult to obtain spare parts and components and access to all major manufacturers’ spares stocks, Studiocare is able to turn most jobs around within a short time scale.
With use of our detailed library of service manuals and circuit diagrams we are able to carry out many types of modifications e.g. creating fader start capabilities on broadcast desks and audio players.
Items for assessment and repair are subject to an inspection charge of £65.00 +VAT, which will be waived from any repair charge. Labour is charged at £65.00 + VAT per hour, with the majority of repairs being carried out between one and two hours. For more complicated jobs, we will advise an estimated turnaround and cost before any work is undertaken.
If you require an estimate before regular repairs are carried out, please advise us at the time. Repairs totalling less than £100 ex. VAT will be automatically carried out unless otherwise requested. All of our repairs carry a 3 month warranty covering the original fault and any related issue. This does however exclude speaker driver units.
Our in-house engineers are available for on-site repairs by advance booking, our call out fee is £65.00 +vat and on-site labour is charged at £65.00 per hour.
With access to a vast amount of microphone spare parts we are able to repair a wide range of professional microphones, from manufacturers such as AKG, Numann, Sennheiser and Audio Technica. Within our spares inventory we stock a range of high quality valves, for servicing tube microphones both new and old.
Our service department has facility to carry out bench repairs on a range of outboard studio equipment, from classic analogue EQ’s and compressors to more modern day effects processors. A quality service is ensured with the use of high grade testing equipment from Lindos, Fluke and NTi, allowing our engineers to find faults efficiently and accurately calibrate your equipment.
From active studio monitors to in house PA subs, our engineers are able to carry out repairs to most types of professional speaker systems. Weather you need a replacement tweeter or a speaker re-cone we can source speaker spares and facilitate speaker repairs.
Due to the support we have provided to our Hire Department over the last few years our service engineers have gained valuable experience in handling and repairing a vast amount of Technics and Pioneer Pro DJ equipment as well as many other high end products which are kept in our hire stock. We are also able to facilitate pro DJ repairs from manufactures such as Denon and Numark.
Our engineers have experience with a range of digital and analogue console repairs, with access to a vast range of spare parts from all leading manufacturers, we are able to repair most professional analogue and digital mixing consoles both new and old from manufacturers such as Allen & Heath Toft, Yamaha Soundcraft and Digidesign.
The Service department has a vast range of high end testing equipment to ensure a quality service is provided and all units are tested to meet manufacturer’s specifications. A recent acquisition to our department is a custom built valve testing unit, which means all your high end valve equipment can be tested, matched and tuned by us to get the most out of your equipment. Due to this we now welcome repairs to valve guitar amplifiers and obviously most types of valve compressors. In addition we now hold a range of high quality valves for various audio applications.
