DPA ST4015A - d:dicate 4015A Pair

The DPA d:dicate ST4015A Stereo Pair is wide cardioid pick-up condenser mic set that delivers the same clear, neutral and honest sound as the DPA 4011A, but is designed to combine the features of both an omni-directional and cardioid mic to widen the traditional cardioid pick-up pattern. When paired. the 4015A offers the same kind of performance as a cardioid mic pair but with a much wider field of view, yet without the rear pick up of an omni-directional mic set.

When close miking certain dynamic instruments that produce varying tones from different positions, a cardioid mic can sometimes be too focused to pick up every element. A wide cardioid (hemispheric) mic expands the capsules field of view to encompass a wider pick up angle, but retains the rear rejection and sound separation that omni capsules lack.

Even though the standard tolerances on DPA Reference Standards are extremely low, a stereo match is even closer. The specially selected DPA 4015A microphones in the DPA ST4015A are matched within ±1 dB on both frequency response and sensitivity.

The mic has a linear neutral off axis response and any spill is subtly attenuated and is capable of handling high SPL of up to 159dB without distortion; perfect for use on drum kits and brass.

DPA ST4015A Features
