Aphex USB 500 Rack
The Aphex USB 500 Rack
is a 4-Slot 500-series frame and a USB 2.0 audio interface in one product. The Aphex USB 500 Rack bridges the gap between the traditionally analog 500 Series workflows and modern DAW workflows by providing a solution for the customer to use 500 Series modules directly with their DAW.
Use your favourite mic preamps as inputs directly to your DAW or use your favourite analog compressors & EQs as hardware inserts in your DAW. All while monitoring though the pristine monitor section of the USB 500 Rack, that includes Mono and Dim functions along with two high performance, independent headphone amplifiers.

Aphex EX BB 500
The Aphex EXBB 500
is a 500 Series version of the popular Aphex Aural Exciter and Big Bottom processors. Small, portable, interchangeable and easy to use, the new Aphex EXBB 500 provides the performance of Aphex’s legendary EXCITER in a mono module, allowing artists and engineers to configure the exact number of channels needed, in a convenient and affordable way.
Aphex A PRE 500 & J PRE 500
The Aphex A PRE 500
mic pre is inspired by the popular Aphex 188 eight-channel preamp, both using a custom designed input Transformer. The A PRE 500 then adds a Jensen JT-11DL nickel output balancing transformer. The A PRE 500 provides affordable access to the unmistakable 188 sound.
The Aphex J PRE 500
is inspired by the flagship Aphex 1788A remote controlled used in studios, on stage and in broadcast. They both use the same Jensen JT11K8 nickel input transformer while the J PRE 500 also features a Jensen JT-11DL nickel output-balancing transformer. The single J PRE 500 provides affordable access to he legendary 1788A sound.
The J PRE 500 also features Aphex’s patented Mic-Limiter technology that works before the preamp. With the limiter on, it’s nearly impossible to clip the input of the preamp, making the J PRE 500 ideal for no-second-chance recording.
Aphex Dual RPA 500
The Aphex Dual RPA 500
is a 500 series two channel, hybrid mic pre inspired by the popular Channel and 207D preamps. It features a solid-state front end and tube back end. The DUAL RPA 500 features the Aphex patented Mic-Limiter technology from the 207D and 1788A that works before the preamp. With the limiter on, it is nearly impossible to clip the input of the preamp.
Aphex EQF 500
The Aphex EQF 500
is a 500-series three band semi-parametric EQ that includes independently selectable variable high and low pass filters. The high and low EQ bands can be switched between shelving and peaking. Illuminated buttons for all functions ensure the EQ’s state can be seen from a distance. The output of the EQF 500 is balanced with a Jensen JT-11DL output balancing transformer.
Aphex Comp 500
The Aphex COMP 500
module is a 500-series optical compressor that features an electronically balanced input and Jensen JT-11DL transformer balanced output. The optical element was designed and produced exclusively for Aphex. The COMP 500 also features stereo linking, LED metering and illuminated switches.
