DPA ST2011A - d:dicate™ 2011A Pair

The DPA d:dicate ST2011A Stereo Pair is a twin diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone set. Sharing much of the same technology and design ethos from the 4000 series, DPA’s flagship mic line, the 2011A offers similar performance for an affordable price.

The capsule design features two opposite facing diaphragms, which are rebuilt into a single capsule composition. This means the mic has the advantages of a small capsule, with a fast impulse response and a large frequency bandwidth, but has lower inherent noise thanks to its larger overall diaphragm surface area. The 2011 offers linear response at off axis positions, meaning a better gain to feedback ratio and making stage separation and mic level easier to control.

The ST2011A is a complete DPA 2011A stereo pairing with two handpicked cardioid microphones, selected on sensitivity within ±1.5 dB making several stereo principles like XY and ORTF easy to obtain.

Each mic is also of a modular design, meaning it’s easy to swap out the capsule to change the pick-up pattern with any other DPA capsule head or preamp body.

DPA ST2011 A Stereo Pair Features
