The DPA d:dicate ST2006A Stereo Pair is a twin diaphragm omni-directional condenser microphone kit. Based on DPA's popular 4006 omni mic, the 2006 shares much of the same design ethos and performance from the 4000 line, but is available at a more affordable price for price concious customers.
The DPA 2006A features two opposite facing diaphragms, which are rebuilt into a single capsule composition. This means the mic has the advantages of a small capsule, with a fast impulse response and a large frequency bandwidth, but has lower inherent noise thanks to its larger overall diaphragm surface area.
The mic is also of a modular design, meaning it’s easy to swap out the capsule to change the pick-up pattern. It's omni design and high frequency response means it's great as an ambient room mic, as a single overhead for a drum kit, choirs, acoustic instruments and other uses.
The DPA ST2006A is a complete stereo Pair with two hand picked omni microphones, selected on sensitivity within ±1.5 dB.
