The DPA 4099B is a super-cardioid, instrument condenser mic with a clip designed to fit to double bass. The clip attaches to the E and G string underneath the bridge so the capsule can be positioned pointing at the sweet spot between the bridge and the fingerboard. The design of both the mic and clip is unobtrusive so as not to encumber the instrument and the performer, while still performing with uncompromising sound quality and staying stable through the performance.  

The 4099 condenser offers clear and natural sound with very high rejection of ambient sound sources thanks to its super cardioid pick-up, allowing more gain before feedback will occur. As a versatile instrument mic with a wide frequency response, the 4099 is great for capturing the dynamic low and mid tones of a double bass.

The capsule can be fit to a variety of wireless systems through DPA’s adaptor system and can also be powered by 48v phantom power through the include XLR connector.
