DPA d:dicate™ 4006C Compact Omni Mic

The DPA d:dicate 4006C is an industry standard, compact, omni-directional, condenser microphone that clear and neutral sound in a small and discreet format. Defined by its impressive performance and inconspicuous design, the 4006C has been used in scenarios where concealed and clear sound has been needed.

When used in pairs, the 4006C creates a clear stereo image while recording pianos, choirs and drum overheads, but also works well when used solo on acoustic guitars, classical string and woodwind instruments and vocals. It's design lets the mic be mounted, hung or concealed depending on the performance needs,

For close micing, the omni-directional pick up pattern reduces bass boost proximity effect that cardioid mics can suffer from, meaning the 4006C can be positioned extremely close to the source without issue.

The mic 4000C capsule is built around a modular capsule design, meaning it’s possible to swap out the capsule to change the pick-up pattern, or swap the mic body and preamp to change the performance and body size; say to the larger 4006A body if needed. The mic also ships with a selection of acoustic attachments for adjusting the pickup performance. The 4006C comes with a DD0251 Free field grid, a DD0254 Close micing grid, a DD0297 Diffuse field grid, microphone clip, windshield and its own individual calibration chart.

What’s more, as is standard with all DPA reference microphones, the 4006C comes with a 5 year warranty.
